Does Jacobs PC have one specific approach to complex legal matters?

We believe in a holistic approach to each and every client. When you retain Jacobs PC, it is never the case that we simply resolve one issue. We are constantly communicating with our clients to achieve their goals, and are always in a position to look at the big picture with a specific focus on what the client is seeking to achieve.

Your team has described your caseload as “high stakes” and “tough cases.” Why do you think clients come to Jacobs PC when the going gets tough?

Clients come to us when the going gets tough. As a team, we are able to efficiently resolve the toughest business disruptions.

Where other firms may be more concerned with obtaining the largest possible retainer, at Jacobs PC we provide services holistically.

This means that even where there is a lot at stake, we will look at all the issues — not just the matter we are retained for — and give our best effort to achieve the client’s goals first.

The client’s objectives are paramount.

What’s it like to work with the Jacobs PC Team on a particularly challenging case?

We love a challenge, and challenging cases is our bread and butter, but let’s first define what a challenging case is; it is a case that has minutes, hours, or day or two, deadlines, with often heavily restrictive rights placed on our client from the outset which will be waived abandoned or forfeited if our team does not get involved.

We function like a swat or seal team or a hostage negotiator, swift and with precision. There isn’t a lot of time and there is a difficult horizon that needs to be prevented, and that’s what drives us.

Working on challenging matters is exciting, fun, and serious – we take pride in them and have a strong sense of responsibility to close them out in the best possible favor to our client.

It’s an all-in experience with popcorn – extra butter, Twizzlers, nachos, and Coca-Cola.

Your clients have described the Jacobs PC team as fearless, highly prepared, creative and strategic. Can you define what that means, and how you see it come to life as you serve your clients?

You know, the words Aggressive and Creative get thrown around a lot by other firms, and derivatives of those words too. Maybe how our firm defines aggressive is ready or likely to confront or begin to counter, if our terms are not met, or if our position is sound and it’s the best way to serve our client’s interest.

We do not as a matter of procedure aim to make the experience for our adversary unpalatable; we aim to make the experience for our adversary eye-opening and compromising because we show how their position is weaker and why our position is stronger.

We would describe ourselves as assertive, not aggressive. We are insistent. Not overbearing. We are energetic. Not vigorous. We are nimble, not just bold.

You’ve worked with numerous attorneys on hundreds of cases. What’s different about your experience as part of the Jacobs PC team?

A culture of collaboration and the team environment is the Jacobs PC difference. From Secretary to Partner, everyone feeds off of each other, bringing a lot of ideas to the table. Coming up with solutions that are outside the box. All to achieve positive outcomes for our clients, usually under less-than-ideal circumstances.

How would you describe the culture at Jacobs PC?

At Jacobs PC we emphasize a collaborative team-building culture. While each matter is fully staffed, we are able to freely consult various attorneys at the firm on any complex issues that come our way.

We are passionate about our community and giving back, nurturing talent, and knowing people personally – their families and businesses. This gives us the unique ability to have multiple driven minds, collaborate and formulate the best arguments for our clients.

How does Leo Jacobs set the tone and culture at Jacobs PC? (community, pro bono, etc)

Mr. Jacobs sets the tone by emphasizing teamwork. Each attorney understands their role but also has the freedom to voice their opinion. There is no strict hierarchy.

Instead, there is a free-flowing of ideas that leads to a creative environment. We believe that this type of work atmosphere leads not only to a better work product but also provides each attorney with a sense of fulfillment at the end of each work day.

Leo: Beneath all that we do, is this desire to make the world a better place for my clients, and the people around me.
