Where other firms may be more concerned with obtaining the largest possible retainer, at Jacobs PC we provide services holistically.
This means that even where there is a lot at stake, we will look at all the issues — not just the matter we are retained for — and give our best effort to achieve the client’s goals first.
The client’s objectives are paramount.
We love a challenge, and challenging cases is our bread and butter, but let’s first define what a challenging case is; it is a case that has minutes, hours, or day or two, deadlines, with often heavily restrictive rights placed on our client from the outset which will be waived abandoned or forfeited if our team does not get involved.
We function like a swat or seal team or a hostage negotiator, swift and with precision. There isn’t a lot of time and there is a difficult horizon that needs to be prevented, and that’s what drives us.
Working on challenging matters is exciting, fun, and serious – we take pride in them and have a strong sense of responsibility to close them out in the best possible favor to our client.

You know, the words Aggressive and Creative get thrown around a lot by other firms, and derivatives of those words too. Maybe how our firm defines aggressive is ready or likely to confront or begin to counter, if our terms are not met, or if our position is sound and it’s the best way to serve our client’s interest.
We do not as a matter of procedure aim to make the experience for our adversary unpalatable; we aim to make the experience for our adversary eye-opening and compromising because we show how their position is weaker and why our position is stronger.
We would describe ourselves as assertive, not aggressive. We are insistent. Not overbearing. We are energetic. Not vigorous. We are nimble, not just bold.
